Gentle healing touch to reduce swelling, support recovery and restore optimal recovery

Terry helped me recover from a deep plane facelift/neck lift, brow lift, Endoscopic CO2 Laser Resurfacing, and Lower Blepharoplasty with fat transfer...I had significant swelling, discomfort, and tightness immediately after surgery. Terry worked on my face, scalp, and neck, which reduced swelling and freed up the tightness. Her touch was responsive to pain and discomfort yet firm enough to ease swelling, pain, tenderness, and tightness. I believe she got me back to my pre-surgical life much sooner than if I had not seen her.

Terry is an extremely caring and highly skilled professional who listens to your concerns and put you at ease. I can't say enough great things about how much lymphatic massage helped me recover from both a serious jaw surgery and following a more recent cosmetic procedure. Her techniques dramatically decreased the fluid retention in my face and hastened my recovery.
Maria Doolen, MSPT
I can't say enough good things about my experience! From day one, Terry was so kind and really took
the time to understand what was going on with me. Her evaluation was thorough, her expertise and
experience outstanding, and her skills amazing. The deep massage techniques she used made such a
huge difference. She didn't rush through anything. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone!”

Lymphadema &
Surgical Recovery
As a Certified Lymphatic Therapist, Terry spent over 15 years at Emory University Hospital helping patients recover from cosmetic, breast, head and neck, and orthopedic surgeries—where persistent swelling is common.
Orthopedic
Recovery
Terry helps patients regain function and relieve pain after surgery or cumulative injuries. Certified in dry needling and ergonomics, she integrates these methods along with lymphatic massage to reduce swelling and restore pain-free movement.
Neurological Rehabilitation
Terry supports patients recovering from stroke and other neurological conditions, focusing on improving gait, balance, mobility, and overall function. Her goal is to help each patient regain independence and confidence in daily life.
For Terry, healing is more than a profession—it’s a calling. Guided by curiosity and compassion, she has spent her career seeking out the best ways to support people through recovery, restoration, and renewal. She believes every patient carries their own potential for healing, and her role is to help unlock it with evidence-based care and deep presence.
Since earning her degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in 1989, Terry has worked in hospitals and clinical settings that shaped her into both a skilled clinician and a trusted partner in care. She specializes in lymphatic massage and brings extensive experience in neurological, orthopedic, cancer, lymphedema, cosmetic healing, and recovery from general debility.
Terry’s approach is collaborative: she empowers patients with education and practical tools, reminding them that healing happens not just in the hours spent with her, but in the choices made throughout the week. Her patients often hear her say, “There are 168 hours in a week—I’m with you for only 2 or 3. What you do with the rest is what makes you a winner.”
Above all, Terry is committed to helping her patients achieve their best possible outcomes with confidence, compassion, and care that sees the whole person—not just the diagnosis.
Your Questions Answered:
Is lymphatic therapy right for me after my surgery?
Most likely, yes. Lymphatic therapy is commonly recommended after procedures such as cosmetic surgery (like liposuction, tummy tuck, or facelift), cancer treatments, orthopedic surgery, and even injury recovery. If you’re experiencing swelling, stiffness, or slow healing, lymphatic massage can help your body recover more comfortably and effectively. We’ll always start with a conversation about your unique health history and surgical procedure to make sure it’s the right fit for you.
How soon after surgery can I start treatment?
Every surgery is different, but many patients can begin gentle lymphatic therapy within just a few days after their procedure. In some cases, your surgeon may recommend waiting longer. We’ll coordinate with your doctor’s guidance and create a safe, personalized plan for when to begin.
How long will it take before I see results?
Many patients notice a difference after the very first session—such as reduced swelling, improved comfort, or easier movement. For long-term healing and the best results, a series of sessions is usually recommended. The exact timeline depends on your procedure and how your body responds.
What does a session look like, and does it hurt?
A session is gentle and relaxing. You’ll lie comfortably while the therapist uses light, rhythmic techniques to help move excess fluid and reduce swelling. Most patients find the process soothing—not painful—and leave feeling lighter, looser, and more comfortable.
How many sessions will I need, and how often?
It depends on your body and your procedure. Some people benefit from just a few sessions, while others need ongoing therapy over several weeks to see the best results. We’ll discuss your goals and create a treatment plan that works with your healing timeline and schedule.
